"The object is not to make art; it is to be in that wonderful state which makes art inevitable." - Robert Henri
Hello and welcome to my "At My Art Space." I am on a journey to discover myself as an artist. I want to use this space to share my joy in drawing and illustrating with colored pencils and painting with gouache.

Supermarket Illustrations.
Thanks to the COVID Lockdown, this series was born and stayed with me afterward. I like to think of these, as a reminder of all the people involved in the making and transporting each item standing in the stores shelves. For these illustrations, I use markers, watercolors, ink, and gouache.

Gouache Paintings.
Towards the end of 2020, I acquired my first set of gouache tubes and quickly fell in love with the medium. Initially, my confidence in using it was low, but with time, it has become my preferred medium. I am currently working on developing my painting style with gouache, treating it more like oil paint than a water-based medium, and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience.

Leaves on Colored Pencils.
Colored pencils are my second preferred medium when it comes to art. I particularly enjoy the feeling of letting my arm move back and forth when coloring with pencils. Unlike other mediums, I don't have to think about mixing colors, and it becomes a more meditative experience for me. One of my favorite things to color is leaves from photographs I take whenever I am out or traveling. Each leaf represents a unique challenge in how to recreate its specific patterns, textures, and effects.

Fruits and Vegetables on Colored Pencils.
When I illustrate fruits and vegetables with colored pencils, it's all about the process. I find myself entering a beautiful meditative state, challenging myself to produce the right textures and effects. Despite being the most constrictive medium I use, it also allows me to relax the most.
